The herbalist conducted a ritual, she fall pregnant, and the herbalist received a cow as compensation. Her eldest child, Vusumuzi, was born on May 15, 1962. In 1964, she delivered Delisile and her youngest, Ncamisile, passed away at the age of six.\r\nShe recounts how her husband had to bring their son, Vusumuzi, back home after he developed a mental illness while working at Mkoomazi. Her son continues to have mental problems up to this day. Because of his aggressive behaviour during illness onset, he has been hospitalized at Fort Napier and Mzimkhulu Hospital; however, she makes sure he consistently takes his medication.\r\nDlamini also recalls that when she got married in 1959, her mother-in-law was no longer living with the Dlamini family as she had already moved to Durban. Throughout time, they observed her declining health and suffering, prompting them to construct a house for her in their backyard. She goes on to say that her mother-in-law came with six children who were not Chief Mehlokazulu's own.
